At HeliService we hire Co-pilots from various backgrounds; directly out of flight school, with prior offshore experience, from other helicopter operations, as well as or pilots which join us from the military.
All new pilots go through the Operator Conversion Course (OCC), which consists of all the required ground-based courses, such as:
Once these have been completed and the pilot has gained a thorough understanding of HeliService’s standard we take the pilot to the simulator and explore the practical part. There pilots receive training in our offshore working environment and the corresponding SOPs (Standard OperatingProcedures) The amount of training a pilot receives depends on their very background and experience. Once the pilot has reached the desired level of knowledge and skills, we conduct an Operational Proficiency Check (OPC).
